About the Instructor

David is a distinguished violinist, pedagogue, and author of How to Teach the Violin: Step-by-Step Guide for Teachers to Train Advanced Students from the Beginning. With over two decades of experience, he focuses on making conservatory-level violin training accessible from the very first lesson.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory’s Sistema Fellows Program, he studied with Sally O’Reilly and Roland and Almita Vamos. His teaching has taken him around the world, including the Bermuda School of Music and masterclasses across the U.S., Mexico, Poland, Costa Rica, and Venezuela.

As a performer, he has served as Concertmaster of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall and played with ensembles such as the Sphinx Symphony and Wichita Symphony.
